I have written about Maddie, my 22 month old ferret before in regards to swollen lymph nodes. Well, she had a biopsy on Wednesday (still waiting for the results), and I have a few questions, if anyone can help me.

1) How long will she pretty much not feeling like doing much? Today is the first day she has been awake for more than to eat, potty, and a quick snuggle. (I'm assuming that is due to the Turogesic shot they gave her, post op).

2) Is it normal that the other ferrets are picking at her? My youngest bit her in near her rear (on the shaved part), and the middle "child" lays on top of her and looks like he's trying to pull the stitches out of her neck. Maddie wants to sleep in the cage with them, but, I'm afraid they'll hurt her. Currently, they are rotating out time in shifts.

3) Can I, or should I clean the incision with anything?

Thank you for any advise you may have to offer!
