Subject: insulinoma/chromium??

Hey folks....

My 1st case of insulinoma.....

Dr. Purcell's book mentions brewer's yeast as good source of chromium which
could help to stabilize the blood sugar. 1/4 teaspoon, 2x daily, sprinkled
over food.

My ferret is currently on 0.3ml of prednisone every other day. (this is one
month after having apx. 20% of his pancreas removed and a current blood
glucose level of 65)

Can I add brewer's yeast to his diet w/out any adverse affects? In other
words, would I be doing too much w/both prednisone and brewer's yeast? Do they
negatively effect one another? Could it help to use both.... possibly reducing
the need for prednisone?

Thanks for any help...
