No we have hardwood floors and we move the cage every week to clean under it (just incase something gets under it) as far as his health he seems fine (eats the same bathroom habits are the same) as long as we don't put him in the cage. I just did a little test, he was sleeping (in a cat house his favorite place)and we put him in the cage he woke a minute later and headed down the ramps. as soon as he got to the bottom and couldn't get out he started in with the digging and biting at the bars. Could this be something as simple as he just doesn't want to be locked up in the cage anymore. We have had Koda 5 of his 6 years and as I said this is something that just started this Friday. is there a way to break him of this new habit? or is there a way to make a safe area around the bed he wants to be in? so at night we could put some food, water and a litter pan for him to use?
