Hello everyone,
I finally found you guys again, gld to see it's still being carried on.

I am actually writing for a friend of mine that has been having some problems with her 6 year old ferret and being that we live in CA. Bay Area, specialists are hard to find so we mainly have to do our own reserch and then bring it back to the vet ourselves.
Below you will find part of the email she sent me and I was wondering is any of you can make anything of it. I suggested Insulinoma and she said that the "Specialist" tested for it and the glucose came up normal. What do you all think?

Some sad news....Bingo is very sick. : ( Last week we took him out of
his
>cage to and played with him like normal, then a few minutes later he
came
>out of the bedroom walking like he had broken his back or had some
serious
>
>nurilogical damage. His whole body started collapsing on the right
side.
>We
>took him to the all night emergency vet who couldn't figure out what
was
>wrong with him and two hours later he was perfectly normal again. He
had
>another "attack" of the same thing on Saturday and again was much
better a
>
>few hours later, though seemed to be tired and acting old.

>I had them test Bingo's blood sugar twice and it is totally normal so
the
>vet mostly ruled out insulinoma and from what I have read the hind leg
>weekness is usually consistent. Bingo's problems are sudden and go
away
>quickly. I could use a good vet, I am not happy with the "specialist"
I
>went
>to this morning. She seemed to know less about ferrets than claimed
to.

Any suggestions would be appreciated it.
