Hi All,
When the glucose is low usually the ferret will exhibit some of the
following symptoms ie staring into space, hind leg weakness, drooling but
once his blood sugar is normal he should go back to his old self. It could
be that when the vet took his blood sugar it had returned to normal. I would
go ahead and treat him for insulinoma starting him off with .25 ml pred.
every 12 hours and try to keep his diet consistant and bland plus try to
keep the sweet treats to a min. Hope this helps as I am not a vet nor a
doctor.Cheryl, Steve and the our business of freeking ferrets at

problems with her 6 year old ferret and being that we live in CA. Bay Area,
specialists are hard to find so we mainly have to do our own reserch and
then bring it back to the vet ourselves.
> Below you will find part of the email she sent me and I was wondering is
any of you can make anything of it. I suggested Insulinoma and she said that
the "Specialist" tested for it and the glucose came up normal. What do you
all think?
