Hi. I'm new to this group. I have three ferrets. Luci, Toby, and Trigger. Luci appears to have insulinoma, but is doing well so long as I give her a sugary treat in the morning. Toby is not going to live much longer. Within the past few months his health has dropped dramatically. He eats well and drinks plenty of water, but does not want to play anymore. He is six years old and just wants to sleep. His hind feet are also not functioning most of the time. He has a hard time walking on slick surfaces. It is so strange. I took him to the vet and she wanted to take x-rays of him, because she didn't know what was wrong with him. I haven't had him x-rayed yet. I love this ferret, but I spend so much money on vet bills, with 3 ferrets, two dogs(one of which has had two shoulder surgeries) and a cat. Anyway, I'm thinking about putting him to sleep, because he looks so unhappy.

Now, back to the subject of the "demon ferret." Trigger is the youngest at 3 years old. This ferret has been a living terror from the day we brought him home at 6 weeks old. He is so awnry. He destroys the condo cage, poops on the newspaper, instead of using the litter box, bites the bars on the cage and will bite you if you don't watch yourself when he is out. I just don't know what his problem is and he has no health problems. He is also very spiteful. I'd like to choke this ferret. My husband doesn't understand why I get so irritated with him and he says Trigger is just playing and that is his way of playing. I've also put him in the cat kennel in the garage just to prevent him from tearing up the cage when he wants out. They all get plenty of free time to roam the house before and after work.

If any one has any ideas, please post, before I go insane from this misbehaved ferret.

Thanks, Rachel
