Hi Patty,
I'm relatively new in this list, but I could see meny cases of adrenal plus insulinoma here. In Cushing's disease we have a insulin resistance, right? In other species or they have Cushing's desease or overproduces the sex hormones. I think in ferrets adrenal gland can be all stimulated or in parts. That's why we have high rates of adrenal plus insulinoma. That insulinoma is caused by adrenal. That is what I think but I couldn't do a scientific study yet. As I told to Sukie we have only about 5000 ferrets here and much less adrenal problems than you. And steroids are our last choice. Could it be the reason to our less cases of adrenal? I really don't know.
But I'm seeking for the answer..... Any information is welcome.
Karin

I guess anything is possible, just for comparison every ferret I have had
with adrenal disease- I would
say about 10 of the 11( including rescues ) were not on prednisone, so
