Well, remember that adrenal disease in ferrets tends to usually be benign neoplasia that is is hyperestrogenic rather than the forms of adrenal disease seen in others animals.

Also, remember that most cases of adrenal disease here happen in aniamls who have NOT had prednisone. It actually is very rare to give steroids to any ferret before. Most uses of steroids are for things like insulinoma or lymphoma that tend to usually happen in old age usually. The things that lead to earlier use: severe injury or a few GI problems are not very common at all. So the vast majority of ferrets here who develop adrenal neoplasia have NEVER had steroids before they develop adrenal growths.
