A possibility, yes. My Ryo-Ohki's carcinoma did metastasize, and that
proved to be the end of her. OTOH, Pertwee had the surgery a little
over three years ago. No metastasis, no related problems, no
recurrence. Besides, a year for a ferret is the equivalent, in terms of
lifespan, to 10 years for a person. If I can buy two healthy years for
one of my ferrets then surgery is very much worthwhile.
