Subject: Sassy Renal failure?

Hello everyone, Well,
today I took Sassy ( my beautiful 9yr 5 month old female ferret ) to my
vet with the intention of putting her to sleep. Sassy has been out of
sorts for about a week, unable to get comfortable, restless, and
breathing quick short breaths. She was eating and drinking well until
yesterday.Then her energy just went down to next to nothing. I cuddled
with her last night and she just wanted to sleep on my lap. This morning
I picked her up and she cried and struggled to get down. So I called the
vet and made the arrangements to bring her in. Well to make a long
story short, I got her into the waiting room and she cried out, twisted
her body around and stopped breathing. The vet immediately took her and
gave her a few puffs of gas so she could pass easily. My heart is broken
and I will never forget that little cry. I had posted about a month ago
that Sassy had kidney problems, so we knew that she would not be with
us a lot longer, but I didn't think it would be this soon. Just wanted
