Licorice Root is not something i would ever give a ferret. It is dangerous for circulatory health. I honestly woulnd't give it even if the ferret had already been through a full heart check-up (ultrasound, EKG, etc. beforehand) having heard too often of ferrets who took it without known disease who passed thromboses.
