Before adding any other medicines of any kind to what Bandit is taking I'd =
consult with your vet and see if he/she can recommend a holistic vet in you=
r area to work with. You can also try to locate one through the American Ho=
listic Veterinary Medicine Association web site http://www.ahvma.org/states=
and directory/directory.html. Your best bet would be to have the two vets =
work together. =
My vet recommended a holistic vet to work with my Dusty who has a spinal in=
jury and is in the last stages of lymphoma. Also, he has cardiomyopathy, in=
sulinoma and adrenal disease. He sees the holistic vet in the middle of eac=
h week and his regular vet every (sometimes every other) Saturday. Each vet=
knows exactly what the other is prescribing for what. Dusty's cardiomyopat=
hy, insulinoma, and to some degree the adrenal disease, are under control, =
I believe, with the help of the herbs and vitamin supplementation the holis=
tic vet has prescribed. Though the lymphoma is now very bad Dusty's appetit=
e (and elimination) is still good and he still enjoys doing some "ferrety" =
things. =
