I apologize if this posts twice.
Several years ago I had a two-year old male ferret who developed
crystals in the bladder which was confirmed by x-ray. He was straining
to urinate. My vet put him on a special diet to break them down.
Sorry, can't remember which Hills prescription diet it was. I think I
used the canned food and added water and made a soup and spoon fed him.
Then we put him on Hill's C/D the rest of his life. That was before
Totally Ferret. If it is truly crystals and not an adrenal/prostate
problem, diet should be able to help.
