Katharine -- in males they can develop dyuria, and
prostate enlargment, which can be both painful and
life-threatening. Either sex will lose its hair, and
the lack of fur combined with increasingly-thinning
skin (estrogen causes thinner skin- think of men who
take it to get more femminine skin) causes itching,
scabbing, flaking, and a great deal of misery. The
adrenal gland can also grow into the liver, causing
loss of liver function (which is happening to Mishka).
I am sure others will have additional issues, but
these are just the ones I can think of immediately.
Best of luck
Melissa
