Smartgroups has announced an extended outage for upgrades. The dates they
have announced are:
From: Wednesday 18th of June
Until: Monday 23rd June
Keep in mind that our archives are off-site, residing on another system
that will not be affected by this outage. The archives can be useful for
finding answers to many, many questions. They are at:
http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org/
The FML (Ferret Mailing List) might be a good place for health questions
that you'd like to post during this time. If you're not a member and
would like to subscribe, you can do so by e-mailing
ferret-request@cunyvm.cuny.edu

This is due to essential maintenance and upgrading of our file systems. We
will be moving all your files to a more reliable storage system.
As a result, after this change:
-The system will be more resilient and less problems should be
experienced.
- In the event of a problem we'll be able to recover the service more
quickly.
- Please also be aware that a mail queue will build up during this period,
which we will endeavour to clear as soon possible once the service
resumes. It would be useful to us as well as your members to stop any
email activity during this period completely.
We understand that this a very long outage period, please be assured that
this is a course of action we do not take lightly.
