In my experience I've seen full recovery from paralysis and blindness in severe insulinomic seizures. Mazy was both paralyzed and blind after a 9 hour episode. Two days later she would circle when she tried to walk and end up dragging herself around in a circle. During a 2 week period she would make larger and larger circles and finally was able to walk normally. She was unable to eat on her own and I had to support her head so it would stay positioned so she could lap from the saucer. She was also blind after the episode but she did regain her site as well. We treated with Dexamethasone, Proglycem, and Pediapred at large doses. She lived comfortably for several months after this severe episode.
