Hi I was hoping someone could help me since no vet knows whats wrong with m=
y ferret...it all started two weeks ago Tiger (my ferret) was playing with =
my 4 year old on the couch, he somehow got hurt and hissed and ran away, I =
scooped him up and put him on the bed and he was limping, as a couple days =
passed he could only take a couple steps and then fall over, I took him to =
the vet who said he was just sore, she took some xrays and everything was f=
ine, a couple days later Tiger stopped eating and drinking, and stopped wal=
king completely, he would just lay there and not move, I took him back to t=
he vet they gave him fluids and he had a fever of 105, so I started him on =
amoxicillan but that had no effect, I finally took him to a shelter where t=
hey told me they thought he had a bleeding ulcer, so i started giving him d=
uck soup, pedialyte, and carafate, there has still been no change except so=
metimes he will lift up his head and try to crawl with his two front legs, =
they also checked him at the vet for insulimia but it was normal. He is onl=
y 9 months old. Today I took him to pet emergency room because he was breat=
hing very erraticly, they put him in oxygen =

and gave him more fluids, he also keeps opening and closing his mouth and s=
ometimes when he breathes if you put your hand on his back you can hear thi=
s rumbling sound, its very scary, nobody knows what is wrong with him, the =
guy at the pet er says its not an ulcer, and he keeps running a fever off a=
nd on, at the er it was 106, does anyone have any idea whats going on? plea=
se please help, i cant stand to see my baby like this...thanks.
