One of my ferrets was found on a rubbish tip and ever since we've had him he's had a very delicate digestive system. When we first had him, he had very seedy runny poop, but didn't show signs of any other problem. I've managed to keep him in check by using slippery elm bark which does help. Any new food (other than kibble) that he's given will literally be projected through the other end in a matter of minutes.

So far he's been really good for hte last 1.5years, however, recently he's got bad again. Last week he had diahorrea for a couple of days, but now he back to very loose smelly grainy poop. I want to take him to the vets - but unfortunately in England, UK, I fear most vets aren't up with ferret medicine. Is there anything you could suggest that I could pass onto the vet.
