Hang in there.
I don't know what area u are in. Was this a ferret knowledgeable vet? If not I would try to find one. There are so many possibilities when faced with a ferret with symptoms as these. Try to keep food (soft, max calorie food/protein) him along with fluids until u can find some answers. If u cannot provide constant care with making sure he eats and gets fluids see if there is a ferret foster home parent who is home during the day to help with this. This is just a suggestion until u can find someone with answers. It can be tricky at this point.
