Hi Angela,
It sounds like your male may have Inflammatory
Bowel Disease (IBD). This is a some what common
problem in dogs and cats, so most small animal vets
will be knowledgeable about this disease. Some case
respond to pred only, but some cases need Imuran to
control the diarrhea. Hopefully Chris will be able to direct
you to a ferret vet there in England.
