If you run a search on the internet you can find out info on it.
I think it is transmitted via the open sores or lesions, and would be
direct
contact, or handling of an infected animal/human/ or bedding/clothing
from
an infected animal/human. Therefore, it is unlikely a ferret
would contact it unless housed in a pet store with an infected animal or
owned by
someone who gets sick with it.
Also, it is unlikely to cross species Same goes for dogs/cats I would
hazard a guess.
I am more worried about distemper, ECE, ADV, and influenza. So, knowing
my ferrets
and my luck they will get monkey pox.
