Today is our vet's day off and he just called back anyway. He let us know that some ferrets do run fevers after surgery so as long as it doesn't get high we should not worry. Right now she hasn't been higher than 104.3 so it's not worrisome. This is our first time in 21 years having one run a fever after surgery so I began worrying in a huge way (as you could tell from my note).
There always is something new to learn...
