I recently too had a young female ferret die. She was 9 months, fine one day
and the next she was very lethargic, won't eat, drink, etc. Her littermate was
fine and has not had any problems. I did not have a necropsy done but your
situation sounded similar and I thought I would write. At the vet before she
passed away they did a blood glucose and it was high not sure of the exact
number. Sorry about your loss and I hope you find the answers you are looking
for, sorry I couldn't help.
