Dear Amanda:

A return to normal sexual behavior is a fairly reliable sign of adrenal disease - although I usually like other confirmatory signs - hair loss on other areas of the body being the most appropriate. In this type of case, you may want to perform the UT adrenal panel for confrimation.

Adrneocortical disease, especially with early intervention, is quite treatable, and you shouldn't worry about losing him from this - mostof us are managing adrenal ferrets, or have done many times in the past, and usually quite successfully.

With kindest regards,

Bruce Williams, DVM

He is a dark sable and the dark ends of the hair on his tail are missing. All that is there are very short stubby tan hairs and a lot of blackheads. Not other hair loss or blackheads are occuring anywhere else. Also, over the last few months, Ed has taking a liking to following my little girl missy everywhere and licking her hind end CONSTANTLY and just today I swear he had her buy the scruff (which he does often) and was humping her!
