Okay, we just spoke with our vet. Chiclet does *not* have a
Mycobacterium (Thank goodness or she would have to be given a mercy
shot!) or a fungal infection. It is some form of bacterium that is
escaping detection. She is on IV antibiotics and a drug with
anti-inflammatory aspects (Vanimin or something like that) and they
may try aspirin if they can't get the fever down. Steve is really
sick today so the hour's drive each way isn't possible for him and
might infect others. (I don't drive due to damage from a tropical
neuromuscular thing I caught in the Amazon Basin in '78.)
