The pharmacy Dr. Weiss recommends is Professional Arts. My vet uses them for the 4 month Lupron.

You should see the same results with the 1 month Lupron as you saw with the 4 month, assuming of course you're giving it every month and assuming nothing has changed with Reggie's problem.

When we first started using Lupron a number of years ago, it was said that once reconstituted, Lupron had to be stored in liquid nitrogen or it would quickly lose its effectiveness. Through trial and error, some vets found that storing it in a regular freezer for a month or so did not seem to affect it. My vet stores the 1 month that way and I have used it in the past with excellent results. But, they see a lot of ferrets and the turn over of Lupron is quick enough that's it is not stored in the freezer for long.

I would be very hesitant to use Lupron that was stored for six months in a regular freezer.

In Feb 03, he had his first dose of the 4-month depot that I got through the pharmacy Dr Weiss recommends (I can't remember the name). His next dose (in June 03) was one that my vet got through a local pharmacist. It was the 1-month depot and it had been mixed (I know there was a third liquid that was added to it-I am waiting to hear what it was, vet on vacation) about 5-6 months ago and then put in syringes and frozen. I am concerned because I am not seeing the same results that I did with the 4-month depot. Reggie is still sleeping alot and has no interest in playing. Has anyone had any experience with both the 1-month and the 4-month? Should I be seeing the exact same results or can they be different?
