Maddie, my 2 year old MF female had a troublesome two months of swollen lym=
ph nodes, diarreah, trace blood and some (not the normal) kind of bacteria =
in her stools. After 7 weeks of amoxi, and then the following six with amo=
xi, baytril injections, Pepto and Pecid AC, the vet cautiously determined t=
hat Maddie was healed. Then, unfortunately (for us) went on a three week v=
acation. A week later, Maddie isn't feeling well. She vomited once yester=
day and had one bird seed poop, and one diarreah. Her temp, shortly after =
vomiting was 101.6. Last night, after about 12 hours of normal (if a bit l=
oose) stools and having Pepto X 3 and eating MF ferret food soaked in hot w=
ater all day, her temp was 102.6. I still had a full bottle of amoxidrops,=
so I gave her her normal dose of 0.5 ml. (The vet had said I could throw o=
ut or finish the amoxi, so as not to waste it). Finally, her lymph nodes. =
I was immediately worried about those, as that was the first thing noticed=
two months ago. I checked those after she vomited, and then again last ni=
ght when her temp was up some. The neck felt a little puffy, the rest were=
fine. Now today, the neck and the opposite armpit may be a little puffy. =
We're not talking green grape size, like last month, just slightly bigger =
than when they're normal. Maddie had a biospy on May 14th, and does not ha=
ve lymphoma, it was "reactive hyperplasia".

My question: Is this a relaspse? Should I take her to the emergency vet? =
(I probably would take her to the regular vet, if he were here, but, the e=
mergency vet has never met Maddie, and I'm afraid I won't describe, what my=
vet has done with her so far, right and they won't be able to help her pro=
perly. Plus, I dunno how good it would be for Maddie to ride 2 hours, one =
way, to this vet (my vet says that there are no other vets in my town that =
he would recommend seeing my guys, especially Maddie) =

Anyway, the vet said we'd know for sure if she was healed if her temp start=
ed climbing again. He also said if she got vomiting or diarreah to start b=
ack with the Pepto. If Maddie hadn't been sick through May and June, I wou=
ld say she currently had the flu, but of course, since she's already had al=
l these other tummy troubles..... =
