Chiclet now has clear abdominal ascites and a heart rate of around
300. We're waiting for a call back from our vet to find out how much
Furosemide he wants in her, any med or procedure changes, etc. The
chances are good that it is now in her heart or pericardium. That's
what took one of the PA ferrets.

WHEW! I might have panicked too much. (Naw, I wouldn't do that with
such a horribly sick ferret.) It is possible that she got too much
sub-cu fluid, esp since she is taking a lot orally at home, too
(which she would not do at the hospital). So, she has Furosemide on
board right now and we do that starting at a 2 mg 3x/day for a while,
cut back her fluids, and see what happens. We sure hope it is that
and not a worsening of the infection.
