Subject: Fat Pockets on either side of neck

I have a 3 year old female who has gotten a growth on the tip of her tail, a Chordoma I think. The vet put her on liquid prednosone once a day for about a month now. In the meantime she has gained a lot of weight and all she does is sleep. I am just confused as to why she has gotten these very fat pockets on either side of her neck and I think that she breathes rapidly. I have no faith in my Vet and havent found a new one yet. I feed her Natures Recipe cat food soaked in filtered water and ground up in the food processor with 1 can whiskas beef cat food and I pour in Timmys Tonic sometimes some FerretVite. She and her brother fight over this bowl of soup every day. Could this diet be causing problems. Needing some insight.
