I don't know about ferrets, but I've known several cats who eat
roaches. I suppose they're disgusting to us, but tasty to small
predators.
As far as I know - as long as you are not using pesticides or roach
poisons that the roaches could get into - it should not be a harmful
habit for your ferret.
