first off, thanks for the e-mail suggestions i got the last time i wrote. unfortuneately, tattoo didn't survive the attempt to discover exactly what was wrong. and as some of you pointed out, there were some mistakes that were made in possible diagnoses, however, those were purely mine and in no way reflect the competency of our chosen vet.
on better news, we have recently aquired a new female, whom we've decided to call boo. she's incredibly active, and very curious. and a handful. she is our young ferret, as she's the only ferret we've ever taken on who's been under a year old. her records indicate that she's five months.
she doesn't seem very social towards our other ferrets (we still have three more), although she has only just met them. regardless, she becomes defensive very easily, although this could easily be misinterpreted for playfulness. however, as she is very new to the household, we would like them all on friendlier relationships.
if anyone has any suggestions as to how one would proceed in socializing a newer ferret with others who have already established themselves w/in the household, it would be appreciated.
