Subject: pred allergy/reaction?

My little girl has recently been diagnosed with insulimona. We started
her on Prednisone on Friday and since that time she has been crashing
fairly frequently and worse then before.

Previous to this vet appointment last Thursday she had lost her balance
and gotten spaced out twice in the last month, then Friday morning when
I went to wake her up she was drooling and not waking up so we took her
to the vet. Now she's had quite a few pretty bad crashes, with the
worst being this morning after I gave her Hills A?D, water and her pred
(.2) I had to rub sugar water on her gums to get her out of this one.
Usually she responds to licking corn syrup or Nutrical and water on her
own.

Has anyone every known a ferret to get a reaction to Pred or is the
insolinoma suddenly really that bad? I'm tempted to take her off of it
to just see if it's making her worse because she seems a lot better the
12 hours after I give it to her then she does after she first takes it?
I'm not a vet though... so I don't know what to do?

Thanks
lisa
