Bashor our male 4 =BD yr old ferret is not feeling well. We noticed last ni=
ght he wasn=92t taking any of the treats when they were offered. (they alwa=
ys get some when they are put in the cage for the night) When we took him o=
ut today his cheeks looked a little swollen and he felt warmer than normal,=
he also was still not taking any food or any kind of his favorite treats (=
ferretone, peanut butter treats ect...) My husband took him in to the vets =
today he has a temp of 104 and he said his throat looks very raw & red. Sai=
d he has lost about 3 ounces since last visit. The vet was not sure what wa=
s wrong with him but my husband said he gave him two shots at the office (c=
ouldn=92t tell me of what I will have to check when I get home) said he sen=
t him home with some antibiotics to be given twice daily and his home phone=
number to call if anything changes, or he is not feel much better by tomor=
row. My concern he is not eating. how long can a ferret go with out food, b=
efore you choose to force feed them he just turns his head to everything My=
children (15 &13) are home with him and have tried ferretvite, duck soup, =
ferretone, AD cat food, watered down totally ferret, Does anyone have any i=
deas, or should I let it go today and like the vet said to call him tomorro=
w if he is not doing well
Thanks for any ideas
Jen
