They have indeed bottles of frozen water wrapped up in towels in each hammock and several basins filled with cool water dispersed accross the ferret room. They all look fine except, of course, for Fonzy. However, I don't think heat is the cause because it has been this hot for over 6 weeks and his condition started manifesting itself only a few days ago. Furthermore, we live in a very old house with thick walls and the ground floor remains fairly cool, even now, so I've moved Fonzy into the kitchen but he hasn't improved, to say the least. He's become more lethargic and has stopped eating kibble by himself. I made some duck soup and, fortunately, he doesn't need any assistance to eat it (let's hope it stays that way). I've kept a close a eye on him and haven't noticed him vomiting again. I guess that's a good sign.
Do you think it could be anything else?

Have you considered getting air conditioning? Have you considered for now providing soda pop bottles with water which have been frozen wrapped in cloth, and till then providing some ice cubes so that they have a way to cool down?
