Hi,

I just wanted to update you on Riven. The vet never
got my message yesterday (long story) so I called
again this (Sunday) morning. She met me at the clinic
and did what she could in terms of testing. There
wasn't much she could do since Riven was so low on
blood volume. It was almost impossible to get even a
drop of blood and what she did get clotted almost
immediately.

There was also liver involvement since under the right
lighting, you could see that her skin was jaundiced.

Riven was very obviously in pain and in the vet's
opinion, was highly unlikely to survive. So we
euthanized her.

The vet did a mini gross necropsy to make sure I
didn't need to worry about contagions in the rest of
the group.

Riven had 4 or 5 large round tumors all along the GI
tract. Their was also a very large amount of free
blood in the abdomen. The conclusion was
lymphosarcoma and that if she had survived to this
evening, she would not have survived to Monday
morning.

At least we saved her a number of hours of pain.

Thank you,

Kim
