Hey Hey Hey,

You are in luck. There is a lot of good info about ee in the archives here=

and in the archives at the fml.

As a starting point, ee is caused by an adverse reaction (allergic?) to
something in the ferrets diet. Chicken and corn are the usual culprits. A=

switch to a lamb and rice kitten or cat kibble can be tried, also a switch
to Hills prescription Low alergen Feline kibble is worth a shot. Simplify=

the diet as much as possible while elliminating corn and chicken. You may
need to do plain baby food for a while to get his system stabilized again.
Any kind but chicken.

>> He is currently on predisone

Prednisone is the drug of choice for controling ee. It is an immune system=

suppresant. An allergic reaction is an over reaction of an immune system.

Again, a bunch of great info at this list in the archives and in the
archives of the fml. Look under ee, ege, eosiniphilic gastro entrietes.
For an extreme case look under RinkyDink.
