Hecubus is 3 years old and about 4 months ago started losing hair on only the underside of his tail, feet and where his collar rubs. He is also sexually harrassing Lilith (our little girl ferret). He was previously very well litter trained but now will go just about anywhere no longer even bothering to back up against a corner and sometimes even voids while walking. I took him to our vet last month and he thinks the hairloss may be normal seasonal shedding and has suggested a wait and see approach. After reading this site I have decided to take him back in for blood work but I'm concerned my vet may not be too familiar with ferrets and am wondering if there is any sort of resource for finding a vet in my area (I live in the southwest so I mean a 200 mile radius) for a vet who may be more qualified for any further tx, such as surgery?
