I have a 4 month old fert who grinds her teeth the whole time while she is =
eating. She has done this since the very slow switch to solid food about a =
month and a half ago. Her poops are normal, she is very energetic, growing =
like a weed and has taken over the Alpha ferret role here. Every once in a =
while maybe 2-3 times per week she paws at her mouth when eating, but after=
she dislodges whatever she is gagging on she stops. When she is not eating=
she is a happy, healthy fert. I wouldn't be so concerned but I have been r=
eading which I know can be hazardous and have came across numerous posts st=
ating grinding is not normal and could be sign of ulcers, etc. I am baffled =
on this, have had some people say could be teething but how do I know? When=
do kits teethe? My first fert was same age as the grinder and did not grin=
d. I believe Peanut was taken too early from her mother because she is suck=
ing the other ferts ears so could that be an issue here? Any suggestions or=
if anyone has experienced similar circumstances please let me know. I sear=
ched the archives and found no situation similar to this.
