In a healthy ferret so young I wouldn't think of ulcers first, but I would wonder if there had possibly been a problem with dental eruption which needs vet care (tooth through the palate, entrapped decideuous tooth, etc.), or if the ferret is still a careless eater and catching kibble in the palate.

Adult dental erruption for those teeth which are pretty consistent happen in approximately weeks 7 through 10 and 1/2 (different teeth in different weeks), and you can find dental eruption charts in a number of places if you want them.
