Tansy,
Do you really mean Fervac? That's a distemper vaccine - the one KNOWN
to cause lots of reactions. The only approved rabies vaccine (in the
US) is IMRAB 3.
Thanks for the responses, everyone. It sounds like a rabies vacc is
just as risky as a distemper vacc. (Which, admittedly, is actually
still a low risk.)
