Hi,
My ferret Felix was just vaccinated today for both distemper and rabies. H=
e was given them subQ on either side of his hips, the vet said he should be=
ok getting both at once at he wasn't known to have a reaction to either be=
fore. He is a recent addition to our family and is a playmate for Pippin o=
ur already established ferret. Felix came home on Thursday evening and has=
been rough-housing and playing with Pippin, with few stinky, squealing fig=
hts. Tonight when Felix went into his sock for a nap Pippin tried to join =
him but Felix started squealing and crying, I checked and Pippin was only n=
udging, not biting Felix, trying to get comfortable. I want to know if Fel=
ix could have been responding this way because he's sore from his shots? H=
e's been the instigator in most encounters with Pippin and has been trying =
hard to make friends and I was confused when he seemed to reject Pippin's c=
ompany. Also Felix is very poorly litter trained, I'm wondering about any =
tips for getting him to use his potty more often, he just seems to "go" whe=
rever he feels like it, even in his cage he doesn't seem enthusiastic about=
his potty and would rather the floor or his food/water dish.
