The second vet's explanation was not accepted. Accidently going through the jugular is not terribly uncommon and usually nothing happens as a result... etc.

Does it make more sense now?
Please, DO get the platelet count down, something is very wrong here. We've seen this type of bruising ourselves with severe and sudden anemia from lymphoma, or from adrenal disease.

If needed transfusion can be done since ferrets don't have blood types, and Epogen and/or other meds can be used.
