Hi. Sorry your baby is having trouble; sounds like he may be sore, but cal=
l your vet or take him in if your concerned it may be worse than that. He =
could also just still be settling in with Pippin-it hasn't been very long, =
and even if they are getting along great, Felix could just be worried, espe=
cially at sleepy time, when they aren't awake at first to protect themselve=
s. My Shannon still screams her head off occasionally when Nicodemus climb=
s into bed with her and wakes her up, even is he's just snuggling, because =
he used to pick on her a bit when we first got her, and that was a YEAR ago=
! Bandit used to cry and squeal when he first started sleeping with my guy=
s, too, even though he was often the one chasing the other ferrets around a=
nd nibbling on them-he hadn't been with other ferrets since he was a baby, =
which was five years ago, and he wasn't used to them. It just takes some t=
ime for some ferrets to get used to their cohorts on more than just their o=
wn terms, and some ferrets are just babies that way. :) I tease Shannon t=
hat she's a pansy...At my clinic, we give vaccinations to ferrets into thei=
r scruff, not their legs, which is where we would give them to cats. All t=
he vets I know do-I think the vets here could answer better as to the reaso=
ning for that, or if that's just a matter of preference... Also, just beca=
use your ferret hasn't had a reaction before is no indication that they won=
't have a reaction in the future-they could have a reaction after their fir=
st shot, or after they've been getting shots for seven years-it doesn't mat=
ter; I'd still do them separately-I want to know which shot they're reactin=
g to if they do.Good luck!-April AC
