Hi,

Ok,so here's the history. Girl is about 1 1/2 years old, spayed. Last week I noticed she was losing weight. When I put her away for the night that night, I saw her vomit bile. The next day she was very lethargic, had glassy eyes, was running a fever of 103.5, and was very dehydrated. I noticed I could feel every bone in her back. I rushed her into work (Im a tech). We gave her LRS, and sent out for a GI profile.

She has diarrhea ranging from dark green mucoid to bird seed undigested food. She is semi-anorexic. She will not eat her kibble, but she will take baby food. Her bloodwork came back, here are the values of concern:

AST (SGOT): 724 IU/L
CK: 11,924 IU/L (verified by repeat analysis and by dilution)
Creatinine: 0.0 mg/dL
Total Bilirubin: 3.6 mg/dL

Also, we took radiographs, they were neg.

There is no chance she ingested any toxins. Right now I have her on supportive care. She will drink water, but she is still constantly dehydrated, getting LRS I/V. Her muscle wasting is so severe, now I can feel her shoulder bones. I am giving her amoxi drops .50 ml b.i.d., pepto for the diarrhea, lactulose for her liver. We cannot figure out what is wrong with her. The other six are healthy (so far). She is isolated.

If anyone has any ideas, or if you need more info that I did'nt think to provide, please let me know! I will check the boards, but please email me as well! Maripossa24@aol.com

Thank you

Natasha
