Subject: Update on Trixie's Fat Pockets

Well Trixie ended up going to a new Doctor a coupel of hours away to have h=
er Lymph nodes or "Fat pockets" on her neck biopsied. When we got there the=
vet felt her neck and said for sure it was some kind of Tumor it was even =
hard in the middle and big! He thought for sure she had Lymphoma and had me=
planning ahead for chemo after her surgery. He ended up doing the surgery =
to remove the tumor and get a Lymph node from her neck. After the surgery, =
he explained that first he had to remove a coupel of Tablespoons of Fat, wh=
ere he thought the tumor was and then he found what he hopes was a Lymph no=
de the size of a grain of rice. He also cut off the Chordoma or tumor on th=
e end of her tail. I am still waiting for her lab results. Before the surge=
ry she was taking .70ml of Prednisone now she is taking .25ml of Prednisolo=
ne every 48 hours. Is that ok ? This vet said the xray was just showing fat=
, not a mass and the lab that gave the cytology results didnt know what rhe=
y were doing. So far I have found every vet in CA that doesnt know how to t=
reat Ferrets. I am hoping this vet knows what he is saying.
