This guy sounds better already. There's no reason to just "let an
animal die" for something as easy to take care of as a chordoma.

I have to agree with the comment about the lab. I'm sure they're
competent, but they apparently did not know how to read samples for
ferrets.

The pred reduction makes sense to me...the problems you will face with
pred in ferrets are that a large dose (.7ml isn't large) over a period
of time can irritate or damage their stomachs, and more importantly in
your case, tumors can and will develop a resistance to it. Since your
(new) vet hasn't positively identified a tumor yet, he's probably
concerned that Trixie is getting pred for nothing - and setting up her
resistance so it will not be helpful when she *does* need it.
