Boy, talk about typoes. I meant "Get the platelet count DONE, not "down". It is obvious that you understood that, but not everyone may have done so.
On the subject of vets it may be that there is an alternative who is closer for you; I don't know. There are several excellent lists of ferret vets and each one differs from the last.
