The vein Dr. Kemmerer is accessing seems to be in the chest-
cranial vena cava puncture is what she calls it. I would assume
it is accessing the superior vena cava directly.

The jugular is accessable from the neck,
ferret is in same position, draw is higher by the neck for the jugular
lower in the chest wall (? under the sternum) for the other one.
I haven't seen that done except by her video, but she makes it look darn
easy.

Venipuncture would be blood drawing from any vein. I loved that video,
won a second copy for my vet to have.
