Sorry to hear about your little girl's diabetes. I feel it is much more difficult to manage than insulinoma.

One thing that helped with Oscar was moving him to smaller doses of insulin every 8 hours instead of twice a day. His glucose was dropping but spiking again before his next injection. Also, I had my vet order a one month Lupron shot; the high dose, I believe was 500 mcg, but I'm going from memory.

Oscar was spiking and dropping just like your little one, but within a week or ten days, he was off of the insulin. It is possible that giving the Lupron and going to 3 injections made no difference; he would have resolved anyway. I'll never know.

Oscar was medication free for about 3 months, but is back on pred for low bg again.
