Dear Natasha:
Only about 10% of lymphomas show abnormal cells in the blood (leukemia). Most are pretty silent until very close to the end - if it helps, I've had two of my own die "suddenly" and I have autopsiesd them only to find lymphoma in multiple organs.
It is a silent killer, an you should have no guilt that it snuck up on you.
With kindest regards,
Bruce Williams, DVM

She was so young, I wonder how long she had cancer? She just became ill 2 weeks ago! Also,I was so upset at the time I wasn't really listening when my vet was telling me, but why did'nt anything show up on the bloodwork to indicate? Or is that just hit or miss?
